How does mob tagging work

Just buff the lowbie up and keep healing them and don't touch the mob. It may take a while, but if they can kill elite mobs levels higher then they'll get lots of XP. Just make sure the mobs aren't red to the lowbie cause that nerfs the XP. Yellow and Orange give the most XP. Edit: If you pull aggro from heals, so be it. Don't attack the mob, just keep healing self if needed.

I just parked the lowbie in a safe spot then used the lock to round up tons of mobs, ran back to the lowbie and aoe'd em. I got about k exp a run and could do a run farily quick and I made a bit of gold off of drops as well as lvl'd my priest enchanting. The LvL 1 get the whole amount on xp from this kill, the lvl 1 gain more and faster xp threw grinding.

For those in need of a better explanation: You need: - a fresh toon to "boost" - a player in your lvl 1's group can be anyone, any level - a lvl 60 hunter or warlock with a pet Setup: 1 Invite the second player to your fresh toon's group. After you've done the setup, tag a mob with your fresh toon and then have the hunter or warlock kill this mob with their pet. Last edited by lilsniff; at AM. Does this also work in instances? I remember exploiting hunter pet boosting in ragefire in TBC or Wrath. You are very committed, I like that. The pet kills after the player being boosted rage the mob, the player who tagged gets full xp. Ya this is why we need dev clarification because this is HUGE and nobody is talking about it. Interesting, because there was videos on it for a hunter boosting that 1 streamer and it worked. View source. History Talk 0. These limits have generally become more inclusive to non-grouped players as the game has evolved: In Classic , only one player may tap a mob by being first to cause damage, but they do so for their entire party.

In Retail , up to five non-grouped players may tap a mob with any hostile action including non-damaging ones , and other players beyond five share quest credit toward killing a named mob.

World of Warcraft: Legion Patch Notes. World Bosses no longer tap to faction.
